The Royal Decree/Law 13/2012 of 30 March, modified the second paragraph of article 22 of the LSSI (Law 34/2002 of 11 July, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce), executing the transposition into the Spanish law of the Directive 2009/136/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of 25 November 2009.
Basically, article 22.3 of the LSSI establishes that the suppliers of Information Society Services ARE NOT ALLOWED to install cookies directly on the devices of the user, but that they may only do so after users have given their consent, once clear and complete information about their use has been provided.
